Mar News from Beacon Valley Grange No. 103

By Joanne Cipriano

  MARCH 10, 2026 --

To save on heating fuel our January and February meetings were held at the home of Master Joanne Cipriano. January went as scheduled, February was postponed to February 27 because of an “iffy” weather report.

Luckily for us the Boy Scouts met during these months on Feb. 4th when they entered the hall the furnace had malfunctioned and the temperature was 29 degrees causing the pipes to freeze. Thanks to the Scout Leader Charles Alegi and assistants, they got the furnace running. Charles and Frank Behlman returned on Thursday to check the damages. A plumber had to be called. Things are now back in order.

Our next meeting is March 13th and we will be back meeting at the hall. The program (Letter “B”) and refreshments are in the charge of the Family Activities Committee (Marianne Nielsen, Ron Gunther, John Taylor and Pat Fischer).

Members are reminded that dues are now payable. Please send your

$35.00 to Treasurer Ronald Fischer-

117 Walnut St., Naugatuck, CT 06770 and save us the postage. Sorry to report that starting on October 2026 our dues will be raised to $50.00 per year. This increase is necessary as National Grange has increased dues, requiring the State Grange to

$9.00 per member, per quarter to $36.00 per year. Our present dues doesn’t cover that amount our leave us any to pay our bills.

Our Tag Sales (9 to 2) and Open Mic (2 to 5) will be back on schedule starting Saturday, March 21. These activities are held the third Saturday of each month.

Come and check our treasures and hear some great music.
